Part 5 of 7: X-FORCE #3

X-Force, then.  Oh god.

This comic exists on a different plane of existence, somewhere off at right angles to reality, where even attempting to apply normal critical standards leads to absurd results.

Anyhow, here's the plot.  Jon Spectre tells Cannonball that all of X-Force end up with horrible and unpleasant fates in the future, and advises him not to hang around with Cable if he doesn't like that idea.  Big fight with X-Force on one side, and Spectre and Cannonball on the other.  Some discussion of what might happen in the future.  Meanwhile, that monster thingy gets woken up again.

Art sucks.  Opening pages particularly ropey, even by Liefeld standards.

I don't even care about this book enough to mock it.  It's not grindingly and laughably dreadful in the way you might hope.  It's just common-or-garden dreadful, and a chore to read, and no fun at all.

Oh, except for the opening scene, which introduces a new villain called Lady Anime.  Honest.  If only the rest of the book were that ridiculous, it might actually be entertaining on some level.
