Part 7 of 10: WOLVERINE: THE END #2

Quite honestly, I haven't got a clue what's happening in large chunks of Wolverine: The End #2.

But let's see if I can make some kind of sense of it.  According to the recap page, now that Weapon X has re-emerged, Wolverine has the chance to confront his abductors.  This seems to overlook the fact that he already did that, back in the Larry Hama run.  But maybe he wants to do that again.

Following last month's clue, Wolverine heads to Japan.  It's Wolverine: The End, so I suppose you've got to get Wolverine in there somewhere.  For reasons that aren't immediately apparent, he goes to a library and goes looking for books about rituals.  For reasons that aren't immediately apparent, he attacks a bunch of Japanese cultists.  For reasons that aren't immediately apparent, he seems to think they're connected with Weapon X (he seems to attribute the Weapon X message to them).  Then he climbs a mountain and gets attacked by some demon or other.  Who, if I'm following this at all, has something to do with Weapon X.

None of this makes the slightest sense to me.  More to the point, however, I don't even care.  This is just random, meaningless events.  It washes over me and I don't even care enough to keep re-reading it in the hope of extracting some degree of meaning.  Certainly not in a mountainous week like this.

Boring and incoherent.  Make it go away.
