STORY: "For Those in Peril" (22 pages)  The X-Men save Lee Forrester's boat from a storm.

What you need to know:
Not a tremendous amount - it's basically just the X-Men in a weather-disaster story, marking time between storylines.

Gambit is still suspicious about Cable's loyalties, following up from the previous arc.  Again, this never gets resolved, but was presumably leading somewhere.

Somewhat bizarrely, Jean Grey apparently doesn't know that Scott Summers had a relationship with Lee Forrester.  Since she was supposed to be dead at the time, you wouldn't think she'd have a problem with it.

While underwater, Rogue and Cable both have a vision of Cyclops.  This is presumably just generic set-up for Cyclops' upcoming return in the miniseries X-Men: The Search for Cyclops.

Comments:
A bit of a throwaway, this one.  Basically, the Neo storyline finished last month, and next month is part of the line-wide Maximum Security crossover.  So we've got a month to kill, and that results in the X-Men doing some generic heroism with a supporting character who coincidentally happens to be passing.

It's perfectly alright, so far as it goes.  Art comes from Thomas Derenick, who did a lot of fill-in art on the X-books at around this time.
